In 2009, an agreement was reached between the Village of Temple, Midlothian, Scotland to enter in to a twinning argreement with Ivry-le-Temple in France.
So far this has resulted in a couple of visits by representatives of each community to establish the basis of the twinning. We hope to progress to create opportunities for the local schools in each community to learn more about each other's culture.

In 2009 Kerr Macgregor established connection with the people of Ivry.

Because of the difference in size between the two villages and because of the desirability of the two primary schools (Moorfoot and Ivry-le-Temple) becoming involved in the twinning, the Temple-based participants have suggested that it would be beneficial for people from the other communities within the wider Moorfoot area to become involved. Therefore they propose to set up a new association named Moorfoot Twinning.
